In every person's life and in every moment of reality, a dark side exists. And no matter how hard we try to move forward, the pains of the past return to haunt our lives, our souls. Inevitably, our darkest desire and inner torment will arise. Is it possible to achieve peace and harmony, knowing that such darkness awaits? To explore the answer, read Richard Geha's compelling new book As Marilyn Lay Dying: Stories of the Primal Scene. Venture into a cosmos of strange poetry and the secret currents that flow beneath everyday reality.
As Marilyn Lay Dying contains strange and disturbing stories of unexpected tenderness, love, and the lusting madness in our shadows. With these tales, readers will find themselves lost in a house of mirrors. Here re-enactments of childhood sexual hungers and traumas distort the bewildered misunderstandings of innocent souls. The stories do not look out upon the world but inward into the depths of the individual's psyche. The author penetrates those enigmatic spheres that lie as close at hand as our dreams and that disrupt our mundane lives. As the haunting ghosts of memory, as that face in the mirror of "the other," Geha's presentations concentrate on such depths as will lead readers to discover their own primal roots.
Of much interest are the many stories featuring Marilyn Monroe in an unprecedented manner. Readers will witness her confronting her life with a depth and irony that undermines all the cliches related to her and to the gilded persona that suffocated Norma Jeane. The account of her final moments will intrigue and even shock any reader's preconception of her.
Written by a practicing psychoanalyst, the poetic style and in-depth analysis of As Marilyn Lay Dying makes it unique and easily the most challenging of books to read today. It will most likely attract readers who remember the innocently bewildered sexuality of their own childhood. The book will enrich people's understanding and acceptance of their flawed selves. As Marilyn Lay Dying: Stories of the Primal Scene will prove an irresistible page-turner. Readers can find a copy of it online at Xlibris.com and at major bookstores and libraries all across America! With Geha's stories, readers can finally vibrantly engage diverse parts of themselves.
