reported by Dawn L. Hall, FictionFanatic.com

Restless Minds Press (RMP) announced that The Writer at Work? by Richard Krzemien, has been nominated as a semi-finalist in the humor category for the 10th Annual 2006 Independent Publisher Book Awards (IPPY Awards).

The Writer at Work? is a semi-autobiographical comic art book from syndicated writer/illustrator Richard Krzemien. Krzemien's comic is known for its sharp wit and unique style that mixes the working world of Dilbert with the absurdity of The Far Side. Long-time fan of the comic Marc Madnick, President/CEO of FINAL DRAFT, Inc., says, ?Krzemien?s comics about the profession of writing are simply state-of-the-art fun.?

The Writer at Work? The book features 60 full-color, single-panel comics and an inspiring foreword by Academy Award?-winning screenwriter Bruce Joel Rubin (Ghost, Jacob?s Ladder, My Life, Deep Impact). Readers will also find a chapter of humorous anecdotes about the process of writing from a variety of award-winning working writers.

Richard Krzemien is a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA). Some of Krzemien?s noted TV writing credits include "War of the Worlds," "The New Twilight Zone," and creator of the first story to feature the infamous Ferengi on "Star Trek: The Next Generation."
